Success For Life

Live your life such as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point. Climb slowly, steadily, enjoying each passing moment; and the view from the summmit will serve as a fitting climax for the journey.
Look for the circumstances you want and if you don’t find them, make.
Luck generally comes to those who look after it; and my notion is that it knocks at least once in a lifetime at everybody’s door, but if you do not get hold of it goes away.
Make your mind to act decidedly and take the consequences. No good is ever done in this world by hesitation.
Men do not fail; they only give up trying.
Many people have the ambition to succeed; they may even have special aptitude for their job. And yet they do not move ahead. Why? Perhaps they think that since they can master the job, there is no need to master themselves.
Men have always found it easy to be governed. What is hard for them is to govern themselves.
Merit and good breeding will make their way everywhere.
Most people would succeed in small things if they were not troubled with great ambitions.
No seed turns into a tree by leaps and bounds.
Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage.
Do not suppose opportunity will knock twice at your door.
The toughest thing about success is that you’ve got to keep on being a success.
Confession of errors is like a broom that sweeps away dirt and leaves the surface cleaner than before.
Patience is a bitter plant but it has sweet fruit.
Penny and penny stored up, will be many; Who will not save a penny shall never have any.
Perform your jobs better than anyone else can. That’s the best job security I know.
Perseverance is another name for success.
While lazy men sleep, Hardworking people plough deep.
Practice yourself, for heaven’s sake, in little things, and thence proceed to greater.
