ReviewMe Reviewed

By peace | July 17, 2007

I don’t bother to login to ReviewMe the past few weeks. I had sent emailS to them but no reply was EVER received from support@ReviewMe. Their blogs was not updated for 2 months also. Roy seems to be missing (perhaps with money). Being only three to four months with ReviewMe, I have not known them for long, especially where there is hardly any ReviewMe updates of news or whatever activities they might have at their side. Thus it is very natural for me to have some doubts in them.

However, I am very grateful to Bill Fish for whatever that he has done. Bill Fish is the CFO for Text-Link Ads. I have account with them. They never fail to pay. Even for as little as $3, it was credited into my PayPal account. I had made earlier correspondence with Text-link Ads before, prior to ReviewMe. That is how I got to know Bill Fish. His email replies was not later than 3 days. It was in fact fast for him. I remember he replies to me within a day. His email looks professional too, with all the signature, his title and phone numbers etc.

I had just login to ReviewMe, to check on my account, my father’s account and my mother’s account. $70 was paid to my father’s account, with fees deducted which does not seem to be the ususal payment method of ReviewMe. There was no indication that the money was credited into the account at all. I login to the other two accounts. My mother’s account had a $10 due payments. However only $5 was recently being credited on 12 July. My account was $5 short but it was paid on 12 July too. However all these payments was not recorded in the system. It does look fishy. But who never made mistake?

Whichever business people have, their aim is to make money. ReviewMe also wants to make money. How they make money? They provide a service to us, the bloggers and the advertisers. Advertisers need traffic to their website. Advertisers need to create awareness and exposure for their products. Bloggers help advertisers in this manner by putting interested advertiser links in their post. Advertisers pays ReviewMe for their service. ReviewMe pays bloggers for writing. ReviewMe had to check the submitted task before any written task would be paid. In the beginning of the next month, which is on the first of every month, ReviewMe need to send out all payments to the bloggers. Naturally in all business, not all people are honest. There are dishonest advertisers and there are dishonest people who are behind at support ReviewMe. Some advertisers fail to pay and there are the ReviewMe personnel who default payment too.

Whatever it is, we always give a chance to people, to business. Behind every business are just people who are trying to make a living. They are people who are trying to climb up the ladder of success. No matter what sort of mistake they might make, we should give them a chance to grow and learn from their mistake. We will make mistake some days too. It takes time for people to make progress as well. So we would hope that ReviewMe would have a better system to track their payments to bloggers, and a better support from ReviewMe — one that can respond to queries, answer our emails!
