Gaining Strength
By peace | September 18, 2007

Let go of mental agitation and physical tensions — draw breath, draw strength.
There are times when the normal confines we work within give way to something greater. It would appear that we have a power within us that is unlocked either by the demands of the moment or just by the joy of being alive. We possess a new-found vitality, a strength to take on things that were previously beyond us.
This is what we know before our habitual framework of thought closes in and the energy drains away and we go back to feeding on things which weaken rather than confirm our strength. Believe in what you experience in those times of power rather than in the opinion you have trained your mind to accept. Feed on things which encourage that strength to grow. Then go on to gather more by giving to others what you have gained for yourself. This is going from strength to strength, and it does not stop at personal empowerment for, by reclaiming your own strength, you help others reclaim theirs.

You cannot gather strength when what you feed mind and body on is bound to weaken them both.
