Carrying Your Burden
By peace | February 24, 2008

A lecturer was giving a lecture to his student on stress management. He raised a glass of water and asked the audience,”How heavy do you think this glass of water is?” The answer ranged from 20g to 500g.
It does not matter on the absolute weight. It depends on how long you hold it.
The lecturer said,”If I hold it for a minute, it is okay.
If I hold it for an hour, I will have an ache in my right arm.
If I hold it for a day, you will have to call an ambulance.
It is the exact same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”
If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, we will not be able to carry on. The burden becomes increasingly heavier. What you have to do is to put the glass down, rest for a while before holding it up again.
The HOLLIES - He Ain`t Heavy He`s My Brother
We have to put down the burden periodically, so that we can be refreshed and are able to carry on.
When you return home from work, put the burden of work down, don’t carry it into your home. You can pick it up tomorrow. Rest and relax.

The Time Is Now
If you are ever going to love
Love me now while I can know
The sweet and tender feelings
which from true affection flow
Love me now while I am living
Do not wait until I am gone
And then have it chiseled in marble
Sweet words on ice cold stone
If you have tender thoughts of me
Please let me know now
If you wait until I am sleeping
Never will be death between us
And I won’t hear you then
If you love me, even a little bit
Let me know while I am living
So that I can treasure it
