I am motivated to Sing and Tell about God’s works and God’s love for people, but my heart Sink and FELL when I wanted to say HELLO to Singapore.
Last week, I was surprised to see Singtel, Hello! Closed for renovation at Causeway Point. Yesterday, my father called me, to complain about Singtel bills. There were mistakes, as always the case. He had changed his phone number, twice or thrice, this month or last month, I am not too sure. My father never tells lies. He is a person who speak the truth and is honest and hardworking. He always pay the bills at those stations, and he does not even know how to speak English or good Chinese. He told me the dates and bills does not tally with those dates which the technician came and the phone calls he had made.
I understand how he feel. I told him that the branch here was closed now. If opened, I can help him. My father said he did not like to go there to waste time — all the explanation and queuing up and so on. I have the same sentiments. But I will normally go pursue the matter if there is injustice done. He said he will just paid them, ~ S$25-30s. Imagine old folks, earning so much for their money, and here it is Singtel, anyhow deduct Giro, anyhow sent their bills. I have not gone to his house to take a look at the letter yet. But I do not have good personal experience with Singtel myself. So I believe what my father said, and he told me not just one time, but several times.
We were Singtel customers since many years back, we all know. Whose home telephone is not Singtel? Perhaps now some are not. But mine is still Singtel and if you check my records, my posts, I have strange calls, and still stupid calls, which infuriate me and annoyed me, BY STUPID singtel customer service, or whatever people who handles it.
Just a few weeks ago or a month or two ago, my telephone rang, saying that my home number need to be serviced. The technician said,”Can I come now?” I was shock!!!! It was a Sunday, I remembered clearly. I never even make any phone call to Singtel! Many years back, I told Singtel I did not want any PHONE-IN service. This is because I was irritated and always harrassed by the woman. The woman who once with my husband, knows my birthday, and what else can she not know of me if I know how much of Her?
Anyway, I said,”Who told you that?” The technician said,”Perhaps your children called.” I asked my children. I was at home and my children never played such a trick, neither are they so capable of doing that! I asked them and nobody did. I asked the technician,”You never take down the particulars of the person who called???” The stupid technician asked me to call up Singtel to ask!!!!
Infuriated, I forgot what I demanded. He did not come, and the next day someone called me back and I was told it was “Thomas” who called, and they did not even know the NRIC etc of the person who called. Stupid service, money is all they want but not rendering any help or NEEDS to consumer. Why I say that?
Very nice, new look, otherwise always so many people. Do you know what caught my attention first? The blue light, the beautiful blue light with the word PAYMENT, right at the center of the shopspace. What they care most? I went there several times, not just one time, two times, to tell them about NO PHONE IN SERVICE. I told them my problems, and yet, time and again, I got very mad. I got irritated, I got disturbed. I have no peace.
I went there, as I do not want to pay extra money for their free supplementary email, which comes together when you sign up for their broadband internet. I want to cancel early, just in case it will be charged later on. Guess what, my bill last month, my supplementary email was still there, after months, I forgotten when I went there. Sigh, madness. Singtel, I sing and tell God’s words, but as for Singtel, I cannot sing and tell, my heart sink and I fell!!!!
I have more to say, more to say about the COLOURS fighting in Singapore. It is all about sports day that is coming soon in school, and what is a school? What is education and what is a home and what is a family? The truth will reveal, the kind of ugly world we are living in. It is so sad, and how selfish people can be or how ignorant and naive they can be…….sigh sigh sigh.
How many times do I received phone calls when I take up the receiver and said,“Hello, hello,” and no answer responded. Richard experienced that as well, and Am I imagining? Luckily Richard experienced it for himself too. Witness I have. Hello, something which I do not like to say, something which I dread….
This is an antique phone now, I was at Tama Jurong, my aunt’s house. Her children, my cousins, my aunt, my mother’s sister, divorced…… Friends used to say, if we dialled 22222222222 we will reach the ‘other world’, and we came home to tried, but never knew the answer….
